School Policy: Useful Facts from A to Z

This page is a glossary of terms detailing the organizational structure and various other facts relating to Pierce Cubs Early Learning Center. It is also a useful guide to child care facilities in GA.

Enrollment

Once you are ready to enroll your child with us, please schedule an appointment so we can assist you thoroughly. During your visit, we will walk you through all necessary information, review the required paperwork, and provide a full tour of our facility.

Appointments may be made by calling (912) 807‑0488 or by texting (912) 286‑4070 (the preferred option).

We look forward to meeting you and truly appreciate your visit.

Illness

Young children often become ill, and it is important that they remain at home for the full duration of their illness. This helps them recover more quickly and prevents the spread of sickness to other children and staff.

When your child is ready to return to care, we kindly request a note from their doctor confirming that they are no longer contagious. For additional guidance, please refer to the Sick Policy in the parent handbook.

Dietary Concerns

We understand that many children have dietary restrictions due to allergies, medical needs, or religious beliefs. If you would like to limit or prohibit certain foods for your child, please notify us in advance. We will do our best to ensure your child is not served any restricted items.

Our center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which requires us to provide balanced meals that include specific food components. Because of these federal guidelines, certain items—such as milk—cannot be withheld without a doctor’s note or appropriate documentation.

If you have questions or need assistance with dietary accommodations, please contact Ms. Dianna directly.
