A Typical Day at Pierce Cubs Early Learning Center

We provide child care Monday through Friday every week except for the days which we are closed as indicated here.

 

A daily schedule gives children the stability and security they need early on in life. That's why we strive to provide a stable framework that adds structure to our daily lives but also leaves plenty of room for spontaneous and additional activities. 

Overview of the daily routine

7:00 am - 8:00 am Arrival, Prepare for breakfast
8:00 am - 8:30 am Breakfast
8:30 am - 8:45 am Group time
8:45 am - 9:50 am Free Center (child's choice of center)
9:50 am - 10:00 am Clean up, bathroom, prepare for outside play
10:00 am - 10:45 am Outside -- free play (includes clean up)
10:45 am - 11:00 am Prepare for lunch (bathroom, handwashing, set table)
11:00 am - 11:30 am Lunch (clean up, handwashing, prepare for nap)
11:45 am - 1:45 pm Rest time (encouragement of sleep, quiet activity for non-sleepers)
1:45 pm - 2:00 pm Bathroom breaks, put up mats
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm Small group activity
2:30 pm - 2:45 pm Snack (clean up)
2:45 pm - 3:30 pm Outside free play (includes clean up)
3:30 pm - 3:45 pm

Bathroom
3:45 pm - 4:45 pm Centers
4:45 pm - 5:00 pm Clean up
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm Join classes, story time (alternative activity offered), Go home
